        Dr. Xu has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Horizon 2020 Green Deal proposal “Towards Zero Pollution” (EU Proposal ID: SEP-210725530) submitted under the coordination the University of Edinburgh and a referee to provide reference evaluation for the professional promotion in College of Science & Engineering, The University of Edinburgh. Since 2011 he presents numbers of keynote or plenary in various UK-related symposiums, such as 

        Ⅰ.   the UK-China Particle Technol. Forum III held in Birmingham, July 2011; 

        Ⅱ.  the 19th Joint Conference of CSCST & SCI held in Reading, September 2012;

        Ⅲ. the UK-China Particle Technology Forum VI in Yangzhou, September 2017;  and 

        Ⅳ. the China-UK Forum on Pyrolysis of Organic Wastes for Energy Utilization in Beijing, March 2018.
