 5.  Micro gas-solid fluidized bed and its application to analysis of particle-involving reactions

       In the same year of 2005, the concept for “micro fluidized bed” has been proposed by both Potic et al. (2005) in the university of Twenty (Chem. Eng. Sci., 2005, 60: 5982–5990) and Guangwen Xu in Beijing by a project application submitted to Chinese Academy of Sciences: Guangwen Xu, Micro fluidized bed reaction kinetics analyzer (微型流化床反应动力学分析仪), Project # 2005014, Chinese Academy of Science, China, 2005 (https://www.rcmlab.net/guangwenxuwork-5), as is evidenced by the figure shown below. While the proposal of Potic et al. is about liquid-solid reactor, that of Guangwen Xu refers to gas-solid micro fluidized bed.


      The developed instrumental devices based on micro fluidized bed (MFB) have been commercially deployed into nearly 100 universities or institutes, while more than 4000 samples have also been measured through entrusted service by the researchers from the other institutions. The latter was statistically counted by a system of CAS, which works to reserve and receive entrusted measurement and analysis tasks from outside.
